We Crowned the Fittest Man and Woman at the Men's Health Open
At the MH Open, NYC's elite trainers battled it out for bragging rights

This month, Men’s Health hosted its first-ever fitness tournament, the MH Open, where some of the country’s top trainers, fitness pros, and influencers battled it out in a series of competitions testing strength, power, endurance, and mental grit.
More than 80 ripped men and women from top gyms such as Equinox, Crunch, Blink, Dogpound, Tone House, and a handful of CrossFit boxes gathered at Brick Grand Central. The opening round kicked off at around 1:30pm, with competitors vying for maximum reps on the bench press (225 lbs for men, 155 lbs for women) in two minutes, the furthest broad jump, and maximum calories on the rower in a minute. The top scores were: 37 reps on the bench press, 42 calories burned on the rower, and 119 inches on the broad jump.To Know More Click Here

10 top competitors—five male, five female—advanced to the finals, which welcomed them with a new set of challenges including highest box jump, maximum deadlifts in a minute, and maximum calories on the Airdyne bike. The most impressive sight? Watch Andre Crews winning box jump below.
As if that wasn’t grueling enough, the men’s finals resulted in two dramatic tie breakers, with three competitors lining up to snag third place and the top two athletes facing off for first and second.
With the energy in the room cranked up to 11 and over 600,000 people tuned in to Men’s Health’s Facebook live stream of the event, the nail-biting tie breaker commenced.
